In response to technical difficulties such as wellbore instability, slow mechanical drilling speed, and long drilling cycle in the drilling of deep tight oil horizontal wells in the Gao 5 fault block of Jidong Oilfield, re-search on key drilling technologies for tight oil horizontal wells has been carried out. Taking into account the geological characteristics, drilling construction difficulties, and drilling costs, the deep tight oil horizontal well in the Gao 5 fault block will be optimized into a three wellbore structure; Based on the characteristics of well location distribution in tight oil reservoirs and the spatial changes in oil reservoir locations, combined with factors such as the uncertainty of inclination point posi-tions and tool inclination rates, a seven segment horizontal well trajec-tory profile was designed, which includes “direct increase stable in-crease stable exploration layer horizontal section”; Based on the analy-sis of geological characteristics of drilling engineering in deep for-mations of the Gao 5 fault block, conduct research on the optimization design of efficient PDC drill bits and the selection of matching accelera-tion tools; In response to the characteristics of sand shale interbedding and high bottom hole temperature in deep tight oil reservoirs, high-performance oil-based drilling fluid systems and surface cooling treat-ment systems were selected and applied, gradually forming a set of key drilling technologies suitable for horizontal wells in deep tight oil reser-voirs in the Gao 5 fault block of Jidong Oilfield. At present, 12 wells have been successfully drilled, with a maximum completion depth of 6088 m, a longest horizontal section of 1536 m, and a shortest drilling cycle of 39.88d. This provides a guarantee for accelerating the devel-opment process of deep tight oil reservoirs in the Gao 5 fault block, and also provides valuable experience and reference for the development of similar reservoirs.
