摘要

For the pipe body of the extended drill pipe (EDP) stand is lengthened and the number of joints is relatively reduced, the use of EDP stands in deep and ultra-deep well drilling can improve drilling efficiency, reduce complexity, and lower overall costs. However, the fewer joints of EDP stand reduces the overall rigidity of stand, which affects the handling stability of stand. In order to ensure the handling safety of stand, the simulation analyses of the handling stability of EDP stand are carried out. From the non-linear point of view, the nonlinear buckling finite element analysis model is established to calculate and analyze the handling stability of EDP stands with six different specifications from Ø73 mm to Ø139.7 mm. The results show that: with the increase of specification, the deformation of EDP stand decreases gradually, and the handling stability is getting better. The handling stability of the Ø88.9 mm and above EDP stand meets the requirements. Stands of the Ø73 mm and below can meet the handling requirements by lowering the height of the stand to less than 25 m. The stability analysis results are consistent with the actual field application. The conclusion can provide support for the safe handling program of various specifications of EDP stands.
