Determination of Reservoir Type and Characterization of Connectivity Structure of Carbonate Reservoirs in Tarim Basin, Tabei Area

摘要

The carbonate rock in Tarim Oilfield is rich in oil and gas resources and has strong heterogeneity. The development process is characterized by multiple fracture-cave system, multi-pressure system, and multi-seepage units, making it challenging to identify reservoir connectivity and evaluate its intensity. Based on the geological characteristics of Tabei area, seismic reflection and logging response analyses reveal that the carbonate reservoir space is mainly composed of holes, cracks and caves with different seepage capacity. On this basis, multi-level constraint modeling technology is used to construct the combination model of faults and reservoirs, and determine the distribution characteristics of different fracture styles. Combined with dynamic data such as well test and trace, the connection mode and connection strength relationship of reservoir units are further determined, which provides a basis for constructing reasonable injection and production well pattern and optimizing development measures.
