When and How Animals Are Dispersed to Orchid Island?

Orchid Island surfaced about 2 million years ago (Chap. 1 ), which means that all creatures reached Orchid Island within this time, including all reptiles. Since the reptiles of Orchid Island came from Taiwan and the PhilippinesPhilippinePhilippines, when and how did they actually come? This chapter focuses on these two questions, mainly on molecular DNA studies and physiological tolerancesphysiologytolerance. In addition, this chapter does not study how the Philippine lizards crossed the ocean to Orchid Island, but will use the example of weevilsweevils in both places to explain the mechanism of crossing the ocean.
