Research on Comprehensive Utilization and Best Practices of Energy Resources in Oilfields: A Perspective of Whole-Process Management Based on Energy Management Systems

Oilfields are crucial areas for energy production. As an energy-intensive industry, the efficient utilization of energy resources in oilfields is of great significance for achieving the “dual carbon” goals. Against the backdrop of global energy transformation and the low-carbon economy, improving the comprehensive utilization efficiency of energy resources in oilfields and optimizing energy management systems have become important objectives for industry development. This paper starts with the current status of energy management in oilfields, analyzing the advantages and problems of their main energy-consuming systems and equipment. It focuses on the gaps between organizational structures, responsibilities and authorities, management systems, and whole-process control of energy operations compared to international energy management systems (such as ISO 50001). Optimization suggestions and best practice paths are proposed to provide theoretical support and practical guidance for promoting efficient and green energy utilization in oilfields.
