Study on ESG Practices and Sustainable Development Path of Sulige Tight Gas Reservoir Under Dual Carbon Goals

The development of Sulige tight gas reservoirs confronts sustainability challenges including high environmental sensitivity, complex community interest coordination, and rigid governance constraints. This study reconstructs the value assessment system for unconventional gas development based on ESG principles, proposing a three-dimensional dynamic coupling model of “environment-society-institution” to reveal interaction mechanisms across multi-scale elements. Focusing on the elastic adaptation capacity of policy instruments, the research constructs a theoretical framework of “institutional elasticity space”, elucidating how dynamic adjustments in environmental regulation intensity, community participation depth, and technical standards reconcile development benefits with ecological restoration temporal conflicts. Theoretical analysis demonstrates that designing differentiated response mechanisms based on geological conditions and socioeconomic contexts can transcend the economic-ecological dualism inherent in traditional development paradigms, providing a governance framework with both systematicity and local adaptability for sustainable unconventional gas exploitation. The findings offer theoretical references for transforming ESG governance systems in the energy industry.
