摘要

Digital twin technology is a cutting-edge technology that creates virtual models of physical entities through digital means. It can reflect the state and behavior of physical entities in real time, provide a scientific basis for decision-making, optimize processes, and accurately predict development trends. In the field of oil and gas exploration and development, drilling digital twin technology constructs a virtual mapping of the drilling process by integrating accurate physical models, real-time sensor data and multidisciplinary simulation means, realizing the dynamic simulation and optimized operation throughout the whole life cycle. This article outlines the application of digital twin technology in the drilling field, including the construction of three digital twins for geology, wellbore and drilling rig, as well as their roles in drilling design optimization, risk prevention, drilling safety assurance and equipment fault diagnosis. Meanwhile, the article discusses the five layers of the drilling digital twin system architecture: physical layer, model layer, data layer, service layer and application layer, and analyzes their application and collaborative working methods in the drilling process. Despite facing challenges such as data quality, model accuracy, talent shortage and technology integration, the future development trend of drilling digital twin technology points to intelligentization, collaborative innovation, immersive experience and green and sustainable development, indicating that it will bring revolutionary changes to the oil and gas industry.
