Stuck Pipe Warning System for Offshore Well Drilling
摘要
This paper presents a breakthrough in stuck pipe warning systems, primarily designed for offshore well drilling. To effectively reduce the probability of stuck pipe occurrences and ensure the safety of drilling operations, the current status of stuck pipe warning system development both domestically and internationally is reviewed. Building on advancements in wellbore hydraulics and pipe string friction torque algorithms, and integrating machine learning and other artificial intelligence methods, a physical-machine learning coupling model has been established for real-time monitoring of differential pressure stuck pipe, mechanical stuck pipe, and wellbore cleaning conditions. This model enables early warnings for differential pressure and mechanical stuck pipes and can further identify the type of stuck pipe based on wellbore cleaning conditions. Compared to similar systems commercially available abroad, this system offers higher prediction accuracy, lower false alarm rates, and clearer identification of stuck pipe types.
