Research on Architectural Design Teaching and Practice Innovation Driven by Subject Competition

This paper takes the teaching of “architectural design” course for undergraduate students of all grades of architecture major of Wuhan Institute of Technology as an example and leads undergraduate students to participate in design and practical competitions and conducts in-depth research on the teaching process and teaching content of the competition, to carry out teaching practice and obtain remarkable teaching results. The in-depth analysis of the outstanding works is carried out, and the teaching mode of innovative architectural design methods spawned under the discipline competition system is obtained, which aims to integrate rigorous research on architectural design logic into the teaching process and test, obtain feedback and reflection on the results, to improve the teaching quality of the course.
