Cocreation and Evaluation in the Era of Generative Artificial Intelligence Tools: Learning Experience Revisited
摘要
This study explores the impact of the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) tools for teaching the bioinspired design approach at a design engineering university degree. Conceptually, the work argues that the integration of GAI tools not only affects the acquisition of specific learning outcomes and transversal competencies such as creativity, but also demands a revision of pedagogical and assessment models. The work focuses on a practical experiment where Bioinspired Design students used an online GAI tool to create formal designs, highlighting that GAI tools enhances the quality of project details and finishes. Finally, the comparative analysis between human evaluation and GAI assessment suggests the technology’s potential not only for cocreation processes but also as a co-evaluation resource, driving the need to reconsider learning outcomes to include iterative control skills and decision-making in human-machine dialogue.
