Developing Future-Ready Managers: The Role of Digital Literacy in Management Education

摘要

The development of technology has changed the organizational dynamics, and therefore, digital literacy is an important skill set that a future manager should possess. This chapter focuses on the adoption of digital literacy in management education and its importance in preparing leaders to navigate the digitized business environment. This, therefore, extends beyond technical skills to include thinking critically about data, using digital tools to make smart decisions, and promoting new ideas through teamwork. Traditional management programs seldom help workers meet their needs in using technology. However, schools can make a difference through the changing educational systems by using advanced tools and forming connections with businesses. Programs which help teachers grow will ensure educators continue learning how to teach digital skills to students effectively. Good efforts toward closing the digital divide must bring equal chances and access to digital learning for all people. Digital literacy will enable managers to handle cybersecurity matters, maintain high ethical standards of technology use, and lead diverse remote teams well. With the pace of digital transformation accelerating, it is time to be prepared with the right managers for the future, who can use the new technologies that are emerging today, such as artificial intelligence and data analytics. It draws out the conclusion where it is considered that adding digital literacy to management education is not only a strategic necessity but a platform that can build agile, innovative, and ethical leaders toward achieving sustainable organizational success.
