Equipping Individuals with Skills and Knowledge to Manage Organizations

  • Shailaja Putlam

摘要

In modern business, management education forms the core in building human capital with required skills to stay adept. This really sets the stage and equips the management student with important knowledge areas, which include leadership; strategic decision making; organizational behavior; financial management and innovation; thus allowing the person to respond properly to the dynamic conditions of modern-day business. However, Management Education, similar to other dynamic business environments, faces a fair share of various challenges. This broad-based challenge covers such issues as adopting technological innovation, favoring practical skills over mere theoretical knowledge, managing cultural diversity of multinational organizations, and harmonizing curriculum and knowledge with industry development needs. Added on to this task is the changing nature of education that is shifting towards digital learning and the increased competition from an abundance of alternative education providers. Notwithstanding the challenges that administration education faces, it presents magnificent opportunities such as technological integration, soft skills development (like emotional intelligence), and efficiency in globalization and sustainability. With these contents, this abstract examines how after overcoming its challenges and reaping the benefits, management education equips individuals with late-modern foundations and meaning for successful careers in the careers of their respective organizations.
