摘要

The present chapter has bred its importance in developing leaders who will bend their skills towards understanding, collaborating, and innovating across borders using varied cultural norms. The chapter points out critical competencies, skills, and knowledge imparted in a cross-cultural management program, such as cultural sensitivity, conflict resolution, and global business strategy, by reviewing existing literature and cases from leading educational institutions. The investigation demonstrates that students undertaking cross-cultural management are set for higher diverse team leadership, better decisions, and global operations management. Challenges and barriers presented in the delivery of these programs have also been addressed, such as very limited exposure to experiential learning aspects crossing borders and lack of appropriate curriculum designs. Lastly, action recommendations toward educational institutions and policymakers have been articulated to help foster cross-cultural management education among other things to prepare future leaders to deal with a fast-changing economy at a global level.
