Quality Assurance of Digital Ecosystem in Vietnamese Higher Education

The higher education system in Vietnam has been dramatically altered as a result of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Within the past several years, the digital ecosystem has been established and grown to a significant degree within Vietnamese higher education institutions. This chapter aims to analyze and synthesize the quality assurance of the digital ecosystem in Vietnamese higher education. In the first place, the study provides a concise summary of the primary characteristics of the digital education ecosystem in Vietnam, with a particular emphasis on the university level. Particularly, the latest technologies of Education 4.0, which include Cloud Computing, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Blockchain, are utilized throughout the entirety of the training process, as well as in scientific research and activities that involve community service. In the following section of the chapter, the authors examine the policies and procedures that are in place to guarantee the quality of the digital ecosystem inside the Vietnamese higher education system, both on the national level and at the level of the educational institutions. A comparison is made between these policies and procedures and the best practices that are now in place around the world. Additionally, the study identifies problems that must be overcome in order to guarantee the quality of the ecosystem that supports digital education in Vietnam. In conclusion, the paper makes a few suggestions on how to effectively and efficiently ensure the quality of the digital ecosystem at the university level in Vietnam.
