摘要

Ultraviolet (UV) dosimetry is a fundamental discipline in radiation science concerned with the quantitative determination of the energy delivered by ionizing or non-ionizing radiation to matter, including biological tissue and engineered materials. In the context of UV disinfection, dosimetry plays a dual role: it ensures that sufficient radiant energy is imparted to achieve microbial inactivation while simultaneously safeguarding human health and materials against overexposure. Precise measurement of dose allows practitioners to validate irradiation processes, optimize system design, and comply with international safety guidelines.
