UV-Based Medical and Clinical Applications
摘要
Ultraviolet (UV) radiation has become a primary source of physical phenomenon as well as a backbone of the medical science nowadays. Traditionally, UV light has been known to possess germicidal characteristics in the first half of the twentieth century though the recent decades have seen an inclusiveness of significant change in its biomedical applicability. Its special capacity to control the cellular activity, cause sterilisation and control the physiological functions has placed it as a tool that cannot be ignored in medicine.
