摘要

This chapter is designed to train combat medics, tactical responders, and emergency healthcare providers in lifesaving trauma interventions using the MARCH (Massive Hemorrhage, Airway, Respiration, Circulation, Hypothermia/Head Injury) algorithm. In austere or battlefield conditions where delays in evacuation and limited resources are common, timely recognition and execution of critical procedures can make the difference between life and death. This chapter outlines practical skill-based stations with realistic simulations covering hemorrhage control (tourniquet application, wound packing, pelvic stabilization, femoral traction) and vascular access (IV and intraosseous). Airway management techniques (basic airway management to advanced techniques like surgical cricothyrotomy), respiratory interventions including needle decompression and tube thoracostomy, hypothermia prevention, and cervical motion restriction techniques are described using structured models under simulated movement and spatial constraints typical of ambulances, aircraft, and field trenches. The chapter emphasizes training in challenging environments to mimic real-time operational constraints, allowing providers to develop muscle memory, situational awareness, and decision-making under stress.
