摘要

Based on the WZ model, this paper simulates and analyzes the growth of electric branches in XLPE at different voltage levels, and discusses the factors influencing the development of electric branches. The recombination of electrons and trap charges makes certain regions in XLPE prone to form connected fissures, resulting in the generation of discharge branches. An increase in voltage will lead to an increase in the amount of injected charge, making it easier to induce the initiation of electric branches and promote their growth.
