A Consistency Capability Insurance Method of Contact System of Hermetically Sealed Electromagnetic Relay for Degradation Test

Hermetically Sealed Electromagnetic Relay (HSER) are widely used in aviation and aerospace equipment, which demand a very strict reliability. Life evaluation of products depends on degradation test, well consistency of products is a key parameter for the accuracy of life evaluation. To ensure it, key parameters of contact system of HSER is determined using Single Factor Analysis Method. The value is calculated by Taguchi Method. An automatic consistency ensure system is designed. The system employs NACHI MZ07 six-axis industrial robot to efficiently locate the base plate of HSER accurately. An OpenCV-based image processing algorithm is investigated to achieve the high-precision identification and fitting of contact gap. A dynamometer is also incorporated to enable high- precision measurement of the initial pressure. Experimental results show that the system achieves an initial pressure measurement accuracy of 0.01 N and a contact gap measurement accuracy of 0.01 mm, which lower the standard deviation nearly 20% avg. this method can provide an efficient and reliable solution for the consistency control of degradation test of HSER.
