Insulation Challenges and Optimization in Overseas Applications of LBS

For the Saudi Arabian market’s insulation standards for pole-mounted load break switches (LBS), this paper optimizes the main circuit’s electric field and bushing shielding. Finite element analysis identified weak insulation points, and improvements like an optimized grounding shield and voltage equalization ring effectively reduced the electric field intensity. The solution meets technical requirements without changing the original size or SF6 gas pressure. Reliability was confirmed through testing, providing a solution for overseas LBS applications.
