Research on Controller of Fast Fault Current Limiter for Railway Power Supply and Distribution System

In this paper, a fast fault current limiter (FFCL) suitable for railway power supply and distribution system is introduced from two aspects of topology and control logic. The simulation model is built in Simulink, and the simulation is carried out at different fault moments, which verifies the rationality of the topology design of the FFCL. Subsequently, the control program development was completed. The hardware-in-the-loop simulation experiment verified that the controller can quickly and accurately identify the short-circuit fault and control the corresponding correct action of the circuit breaker.
