Water Sustainability and Human-Tech Nexus: The Role of AI in HRM for Instrumentation-Driven Innovation

摘要

We must improve human resource management (HRM) to create a superior technology facilitator to build the water sustainability as society and technology are changing rapidly. This chapter explores how AI can impact human resource management (HRM) to address instrumental innovations, human technology relationship in sustainable water sustainability. Human capital efforts that put institutions in a position to adopt, use, and innovate with digital technologies, sensor networks, and AI-enabled solutions underpin water sustainability. This chapter considers the capabilities of HR, including talent acquisition (when recruiting employees), training and development, workforce analytics, and change management to integrate AI to help create a powerful workforce that will interface with the instrumental innovations to monitor, distribute, and preserve water. Through capital deployed in HRM processes made possible by AI and decision-making, organizations can be better equipped to respond to, and promote sustainable organizational nimbleness, and even, promote worker involvement in a culture of sustainability, all while managing the finite management of water resources sustainably. This chapter used conceptual analysis and industry expertise to provide a model of a human system-technological interface with AI to expand the idea of collaborative intelligence, or the ability of AI–human interfaces to work together to facilitate a new level of human intentionality. Overall, this chapter adds to the HRM-literature-water sustainability, in showing how creativity or flexibility and accountability can exist when one engages in one of the most valuable assets in human history.
