The Research on Mobile Edge Computing in Content Delivery Network
摘要
The network has entered the caching and Content Delivery Network (CDN), which is a distributed network architecture for providing efficient content transmission and distribution services. Edge computing is commonly used in CDN networks. Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) is an emerging computing model aimed at bringing computing, storage, and network services closer to end devices. Traditionally, cloud computing relies on remote data centers to process and store data. However, for applications requiring low latency and high bandwidth such as the Internet of Things, virtual reality, and augmented reality, the cloud computing model may not meet the requirements. Edge computing is more suitable for real-time data analysis and intelligent processing, and is more efficient and secure than pure cloud computing. Edge computing is more accurate to say that it should be a supplement and optimization of cloud computing, there ‘s no need sending data to the distant cloud, it can be solved at the edge. Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) provides more efficient, reliable, and secure computing resources and services for these applications, driving the development of technologies such as the Internet of Things and 5G. Mobile Edge Computing is considered fundamental in building a future intelligent and connected world.
