摘要

The performance of an electric vehicle (EV) which mainly includes acceleration, energy uses, braking energy driving range, etc., subordinate to its mass. This research examines the impact of mass ranging 1000–3000 kg based on modeling and simulation on these vehicle performance metrics in relation to EVs. A MATLAB model was established to analyze how mass impacts performance of an EV factoring in aerodynamic drag, rolling resistance, and powertrain efficiency. The results show that increased mass leads to higher energy usage, reduced driving range, lower acceleration, and higher braking energy. These findings are essential in contrasting EV design, battery sizing, and battery energy management with deal outcome variables. The comparison of existing literature bestows strong alignment with deviation within 5%.
