Main Characteristics and Development Pathways of New Quality Productive Forces in China’s Logistics Sector

New quality productive forces is a concept proposed by the Chinese government, primarily referring to novel and advanced productive capacities generated through revolutionary technological breakthroughs and innovative allocation of production factors. The core of new quality productive forces lies in the qualitative transformation of labor, means of labor, objects of labor, and their optimized integration, with the improvement of total factor productivity as its central indicator. Correspondingly, new quality productive forces in logistics refers to such advanced productive capacities within the logistics industry, serving as the fundamental driver for China to achieve high-quality development of the logistics sector. In the current era, China’s logistics industry is focusing on enhancing the development of new quality productive forces through three major pathways: “new factor inputs”, “empowerment by new technologies”, and “application of new models”. Looking ahead, continuous technological advancement and national policy guidance will remain key drivers for the development of new quality productive forces in logistics.
