The Role of the Turkish Maarif Foundation in Global Education

International educational institutions have currently become indispensable actors in education, and their prevalence is increasing daily. Alongside this popularity, they have also been subject to debates stating that they distance or alienate students from their native language and local culture. The necessity, benefits, and criticism of international educational institutions stem from the different approaches taken in defining these institutions.
