Research on the Potential of User Side Demand Response in the Context of Virtual Power Plants

This article considers a method for analyzing the adjustability of load based solely on the mathematical laws of historical electricity consumption on the user side in the context of virtual power plants, in order to predict the potential for demand response and reduce the difficulty of data acquisition. Through indicator extraction, data dimensionality reduction, and other methods, the electricity consumption patterns of users were clarified. Finally, the elasticity coefficient method was used to calculate the demand response potential of users. The results indicate that the potential for user demand response is greater during peak periods and smaller during low periods.
