摘要

Most electrical devices nowadays run on batteries. As a result of this, rechargeable batteries gain popularity since they provide so many benefits over conventional single-use batteries as technology progresses. Rechargeable batteries generally last longer, are more economical, and are not as harmful to the environment compared to single-use batteries. As a result of the expanding use of electronic gadgets, there is a rising need for battery chargers and load testers, which check the performance of batteries and charge them. However, battery chargers that can be used on multiple battery types and perform both charging and discharging on a singular device are rare and difficult to obtain on the market. This project plans to develop a universal battery charger and load tester, consisting of a synchronous buck charger with auto voltage and current feedback control, auto detection of battery types with charging current to go up to 3 A. Load testing circuit for common batteries such as Li-ion and SLA batteries are included.
