Regulation of Transgenerational Toxicity by Transgenerational Communication of Germline FGF Signals
摘要
Fibroblast growth factor (FGF) signaling pathway is a conserved signaling pathway. The role of FGF ligand EGL-17 in the germline and its several upregulators in regulating transgenerational pollutants toxicity was introduced. Also, the role of FGF receptor EGL-15 and its tissue-specific activity in regulating transgenerational pollutants toxicity were discussed. In intestinal cells and neurons, EGL-15 regulated transgenerational pollutants toxicity by affecting different downstream targets. Moreover, the potential transgenerational communication between germline EGL-17 and its receptor EGL-15 and its association with induction of transgenerational pollutants toxicity were discussed.
