Caenorhabditis elegans is a classic model animal. Because of high sensitivity to environmental exposures and short life cycle, C. elegans has been widely used in assessment of transgenerational toxicity and study of transgenerational toxicology after exposure to pollutants at parental generation. In this chapter, we discussed the research values of C. elegans at various aspects for the study of transgenerational toxicology after exposure to stresses and toxicants.

摘要

Caenorhabditis elegans is a classic model animal. Because of high sensitivity to environmental exposures and short life cycle, C. elegans has been widely used in assessment of transgenerational toxicity and study of transgenerational toxicology after exposure to pollutants at parental generation.
