摘要

Cataract is one of the most common sequelae pars plana vitrectomy (PPV). As PPV is increasingly performed, cataract in vitrectomized eyes has also become more frequent. However, accurate intraocular lens (IOL) calculation in vitrectomized eyes remains challenging because previous PPV may alter ocular biometry, effective lens position prediction, anterior chamber dynamics, and refractive outcomes. This chapter reviews and  summarizes the performance of contemporary and more recent IOL formulas, sources of refractive error, and practical recommendations. to improve prediction accuracy. Emphasis is placed on individualized formula selection, careful biometry interpretation, and perioperative planning to optimize visual outcomes in this complex patient group.
