Calculation in Normal Eyes
摘要
An anatomical window into the vascular and neurological systems, the eye is an intriguing and intricate organ that can show systemic disease. Our sense of sight accounts for almost 80% of our sensory input [1]. The internal architecture of the globe is partitioned into three distinct anatomical compartments: the anterior and posterior chambers, as well as the vitreous cavity. The peripheral boundaries of the anterior chamber (AC) are defined by the drainage angle, while its internal dimensions are demarcated anteriorly by the corneal endothelium and posteriorly by the iris surface and the crystalline lens. The iris’s posterior surface, the zonular fibers’ anterior surface, the central surface of crystalline lens, and the ciliary processes’ peripheral surfaces all serve to define the posterior chamber. The ciliary body, zonular fibers, and the posterior side of the crystalline lens define the vitreous chamber anteriorly, whereas the retina and optic nerve define it posteriorly [2].
