Cataract is the leading cause of blindness worldwide. Nearly 20 million people are blinded by it [1]. Cataracts directly impact a person’s quality of life when the blindness limits them from living a normal life. Blindness from cataract not only becomes a barrier for the patient but extends to their family, community, and even the country. The effect of visual impairment from cataract can grossly affect the patient’s quality of life and impose financial burden on their family and community.
