Flow Cytometric Diagnostic Approach to Low-Grade Lymphomas
摘要
Chronic lymphoproliferative disorders (CLPD) are heterogenous clonal disorders in their presentation, morphology and immunophenotyping. Flowcytometric immunophenotyping (FCM) is a valuable and indispensable tool in the diagnosis of CLPDS. FCM has many advantages, being multiparamteric it helps analyze several antigens simultaneously on the same cell of interest both in a quantitative and a qualitative manner. It provides us a quick diagnosis and helps us take on other ancillary testing such as cytogenetics and molecular studies. In this review, the aim to provide common and practical approaches in utlizing FCM in the diagnostic workup of low-grade lymphomas.
