  • Murugappan Nachiappan

摘要

The pancreas is a complex retroperitoneal organ with intricate anatomical relationships that are of paramount importance in surgical practice. A thorough understanding of the surgical anatomy of the pancreas is essential for safe operative intervention, accurate radiological interpretation, and effective management of pancreatic diseases. This chapter reviews the gross anatomy, embryology, vascular supply, lymphatic drainage, and ductal anatomy of the pancreas, with particular emphasis on surgically relevant landmarks and anatomical variations. Understanding these anatomical principles forms the foundation for reducing operative morbidity and improving outcomes in pancreatic surgery.
