Conclusion and Future Perspectives
摘要
The rapid, global proliferation of the Internet of Things (IoT), wearable electronics, and distributed sensor networks has created an urgent, unprecedented demand for decentralized, battery-free power sources. This concluding chapter synthesizes the advancements presented in this book, emphasizing that organic thermoelectrics and thermocells should not be viewed as direct competitors to conventional inorganic generators. Rather, they are highly complementary technologies. By leveraging their unique mechanical flexibility and low-cost manufacturing processes, these carbon-based systems are poised to play a foundational role in powering the next generation of sustainable, fully connected electronics.
