Nanomaterials have recently attracted attention in the biomedical field and are considered as potential candidates for applications because of their exceptional physical and chemical characteristics, such as tunable size, high surface area and functional flexibility. In this chapter, the main aspects are the synthesis, characterization methods and properties of nanomaterials designed for biomedical use. Several synthesis methods, including chemical, physical, and biological strategies with a focus on desired functions, are discussed. properties. The chapter then discusses the use of nanomaterials in wound healing, drug delivery, dental and anticancer therapy. Particular attention is paid to their biological systems interactions, stability and toxicity. The present study extends the potential for the translation of these nanoparticles to clinical settings by demonstrating their potential for revolutionizing healthcare amidst challenges of scale, safety and regulation.
