摘要

Humidity sensors play a vital role in various applications, including environmental monitoring, industrial processes, and health care. The study reports the preparation of a LaFeO3-based humidity sensor using an economical sol-gel process. XRD, SEM-EDX, and XRF were used to characterize the structure and morphology. XRD analysis confirmed the formation of a well-crystallized perovskite phase, while SEM imaging revealed a porous microstructure that enhances surface area, facilitating effective water vapor adsorption. The material’s homogeneous distribution of La, Fe, and O was confirmed by elemental composition analysis using XRF-EDX. The manufactured sensor demonstrated a quick response time of 1.9 s, a recovery time of 1.3 s, having a minimum hysteresis (2%), and good sensitivity to humidity. These results highlight the potential of LaFeO3-based sensors for accurate and consistent humidity measurement.
