摘要

Adult spinal deformity (ASD) correction surgery is associated with a high risk of complications, making the selection of appropriate surgical strategies crucial for minimizing adverse outcomes. The incidence of complications, including both mechanical and medical risks, is notably high. This chapter systematically presented the incidence and risk factors of the primary complications encountered in ASD surgery and critically analyzes various surgical strategies aimed at preventing these complications. By integrating evolving classification systems and alignment goals, this review provides a comprehensive guide to selecting rational, individualized, and complication-preventing surgical strategies to optimize surgical outcomes in ASD correction.
