摘要

Full-endoscopic spine surgery (FESS) is an ultra-minimally invasive technique that utilizes an endoscope to access and treat various spinal pathologies. This approach offers reduced tissue trauma, quicker recovery times, and improved visualization of the operative field compared to traditional open techniques, with comparable safety and efficacy [1–3]. The foundation of success in mastery of any procedure is a good knowledge of the set up and rationale, allowing for surgery to be performed efficiently and safely. This chapter aims to describe the practical aspects in operating theatre setup, as well as give an overview of the endoscopic tools and equipment used during full endoscopic procedures.
