Preparing for the Art Exhibition

I returned to Hangzhou early in the morning of August 2nd and immediately set about ordering picture frames, designing the exhibition catalog and invitations. My original plan was to hold the exhibition in November, but unexpected events occurred. I received a notice that due to the relocation and reconstruction of the China Academy of Art, the exhibition hall was also scheduled for demolition in September. Dean Xu Jiang specially informed me and hoped that the exhibition could be advanced to before mid-September. This threw me into a panic. Although the solo exhibition was not large in scale, having to advance it by 2 months meant that not only would my book “Artful Nights on the Boat” not be able to be published in time, but even the exhibition catalog could not be prepared in such a short period.
