The Publication of “My Art Career”

It was midsummer in 2000. On the day I had just discussed with Deputy Dean Xu Jiang of the China Academy of Art to host my personal art exhibition, I received a call from Suo Jia upon returning home, informing me that the book “My Art Career Yi Zhou Ye Jie” had been agreed upon with Today China Publishing Group, and they hoped that I could expedite sending the manuscript and images to Beijing for early publication. This delighted me immensely. If the book could be published simultaneously with the opening of the exhibition, it would indeed be a great opportunity! So, I stayed up all night to organize the drawings and bought a train ticket to Beijing on June 30th.
