Cataract Surgery
摘要
In 1994, I noticed a sharp decline in my vision. After a diagnosis, the doctor believed that the cataract was not yet ripe enough for surgery and that I should wait until it was fully developed. What should I do? It was impossible to even consider painting or translation work. Fortunately, I came across a young female ophthalmologist named Lou Dinghua. She was young, had good vision, and had a bold spirit, willing to break with convention and perform the surgery for me. Thus, I was admitted to the hospital on May 25th, and the surgery began on June 1st. Two days later, my vision improved dramatically from 0.08 to 0.5, and I was discharged from the hospital on June 16th. Truthfully, the success of this surgery was extremely important to me. I will never forget the kindness and love of Dr. Lou Dinghua!
