Deported Back to Hometown
摘要
On the 6th of April, 1969, the first group of 56 people were gathered into an empty workshop, waiting to be assigned into small groups to be sent back home. I was one of them. Fifty five of us were permitted to leave by the Changxing County Police Bureau, but only my file was sent to the provincial Public Security Bureau for further assessment. This extra process took a month, and thus the freedom of us all, the 56 people only came 1 month later. On the 16th of May they put an “anti-revolutionary” hat on me and then I was allowed to get in the car to Yixing. Once there, we were free to go home.
