The Birth of Ding Yunyu
摘要
In 1955, I received a letter from my younger brother in Hong Kong, informing me that he had opened a bookstore there and was publishing comic books on his own. His business was booming, and he even sent me two small foreign art albums as gifts. One was about Picasso, and the other was about Matisse. They were exactly what I wanted because, during that time, it was almost impossible to get a hold of a foreign book. Artists like Picasso and Matisse were almost considered banned books.
