摘要

This chapter focuses on the rehabilitation of cognitive–perceptual deficits, one of the most important issues among stroke survivors. These impairments multiply post-stroke disability, especially in countries with limited resources. Cognitive deficits range from attention to memory involvement, whereas perceptual impairments vary from spatial neglect to agnosia. These issues affect the functional performance of an individual who needs evidence-based, individualised, and contextualised intervention by multidisciplinary professionals. Various restorative and compensatory rehabilitation techniques may be imparted to lessen the effect of the impairments. Additionally, the importance and implications of various factors affecting evidence-based practice in low-resource settings are also emphasised.
