New Formulas for Burn Resuscitation

This chapter elaborates in detail on the ten-fold fluid resuscitation formulas devised by the author. Within the first 8 hours post burn injury, the hourly fluid resuscitation volume is calculated as burn size(%TBSA) multiplied by ten for adults and body weight (kg) multiplied by ten for pediatric patients. The two formulas are highly concise, practical, and agree well with existing classical formulas.
