Systematic Innovation and TRIZ: A Structured Approach to Creating Innovative Solutions

  • Marco Tatti

摘要

Systematic innovation is crucial in today’s complex global landscape, where companies and institutions face technological, economic, and environmental challenges. This chapter explores the role of the TRIZ methodology in structured innovation, providing an overview of its tools and principles as a strategic asset for solving complex technical and managerial problems. Based on the analysis of millions of patents, TRIZ identifies standard innovation patterns, providing tools to tackle diverse problems and create effective solutions. It helps transcend conventional thinking by guiding problem-solving through principles such as Contradictions and the Laws of Technological Evolution. TRIZ views technical problems as structured and finite, categorizing them into specific types with tested, generic solutions. Key concepts, including the 40 Principles, the Contradiction Matrix, and the Ideal Final Result (IFR), are examined for their impact on product design, manufacturing process structuring, and organizational optimization. The chapter also explores TRIZ’s integration with artificial intelligence and TRIZ’s role in fostering sustainable and resilient innovation within the Belt & Road Initiative, conceived as a framework for addressing increasingly complex global challenges.
