Magnetic Properties of High-Entropy Alloys
摘要
High-entropy alloys (HEAs) have garnered considerable interest in materials science owing to their distinctive features, especially regarding magnetism. HEAs consist of several primary elements in equiatomic or nearly equiatomic ratios, resulting in significant configurational entropy that affects their structural, mechanical, and magnetic properties. This chapter examines the magnetic characteristics of HEAs, encompassing their fundamental principles, the influence of diverse alloying elements, and their prospective applications in soft and hard magnetic materials, magnetic refrigeration, and multifunctional electronics. The chapter offers an in-depth analysis of the influence of compositional control, microstructural engineering, and processing procedures on magnetic properties through the examination of essential HEA systems. It also talks about the problems and future possibilities for making and using magnetic HEAs in cutting-edge technology areas.
