“The Global South” and the Coordinated Development of Cultural Heritage

This chapter examines cultural heritage governance from the perspective of cultural industry development, selected the core concept of cultural heritage interpretation. Taking into account the two international conventions promoted by the United Nations Educational, scientific and cultural organization, the Convention for the protection of the world cultural and natural heritage and the convention for the safeguarding of the intangible cultural heritage, from the concept, classification, characteristics of the cultural heritage of a comprehensive analysis, in particular, the historical nature of cultural heritage, heritage and representative. These characteristics also further contribute to the positive impact of cultural heritage on the cohesion of the countries of the Global South. The development of culture not only enables countries to find a common national spirit, but also provides a more diverse platform for the depth and breadth of communication between citizens. Therefore, the process of combining the “Global South” initiative with cultural heritage is also a practical way to better play the role of cultural heritage characteristics. From the attribute of cultural heritage, we can see the spiritual treasure and material representation of the whole world history. Through the implementation of the “Global South” initiative, we can have more opportunities and channels to learn about the distinctive cultural traditions and civilizational legacies of other countries. While learning from the excellent cultural achievements of other countries, it can also better integrate within domestic cultural contexts, and jointly exert the influence and effect of cultural heritage.
